How it Works

Contribute to Medical Research & Earn Compensation

Philips, a global leader in health technology, and Campos, a Pittsburgh, PA-based market research firm, have partnered to create an opportunity for adults and their minor children in the Greater Boston Area and in the Greater Seattle Area to participate in ongoing, paid clinical research related to ultrasound scanning technology.

As a member of the Ultrasound Research Panel, you will be periodically contacted and invited to travel to a Philips location in your area and participate in a variety of ultrasound scanning, demonstration, and training activities. You’ll be compensated on an hourly basis for your time according to the nature and complexity of the ultrasound procedure being performed. Some participants may be invited to return several times per year over a multi-year period.

In addition to being competitively compensated for their time, panel members will have the satisfaction of contributing to important clinical research with numerous potential real-world applications.

How to Register

The registration consists of three easy steps:

Take the Registration Survey to see if you qualify to participate and to register your contact information and scheduling preferences:

A member of the Campos Recruiting Team will contact you to verify your eligibility, answer any questions you may have, and provide you with information about how to register in Philip’s patient portal.

Register your profile in the Philips patient portal, where you will have an opportunity to review Philip’s privacy and data security policies as well as some other important information.

Your time is important to us, which is why we’re offering all qualified individuals who complete the registration process (all three steps above) a $5 incentive!

What Happens Next?

After completing the registration process, Campos will periodically contact you to invite you to participate in a potential variety of ultrasound-related research activities at a Philips location in your area. If you indicated that you have minor children and would be willing to consent on their behalf, we may contact you to invite you to bring them in to participate as well. In such cases you, the parent or legal guardian, would be compensated for their participation. Some participants will be invited to participate in multiple activities during a calendar year.

Compensation for participation will be provided on an hourly basis, with rates starting at $75 per hour and increasing based on the nature and complexity of the activity being performed. All compensation will be delivered in the form of a Tango Digital Gift Card which we will send to you via email. The balance of this card can be redeemed for gift cards at a wide variety of restaurants and retailers, or as a pre-paid Visa gift card, which can be used anywhere that accepts Visa.

Is this legitimate? Who is organizing the Ultrasound Research Panel?
Yes! The Ultrasound Research Panel is a collaborative partnership between Philips, a global, Netherlands-based health technology company with over 130 years of experience driving innovation, and Campos, a full-service market research and strategic consultancy based in Pittsburgh for over 35 years.

Diagnostic ultrasound, also called sonography or diagnostic medical sonography, is a safe procedure that uses low-power sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. There are no known risks.

Ultrasound has many scanning, diagnostic, and imaging applications across the health technology sector, which is why we are looking for adults and children of all ages and genders to participate in the Ultrasound Research Panel.

Prior to any research activity in which you are scheduled to participate, a member of Philips’ clinical staff will review any activity-specific risks and benefits to participation and will obtain your explicit, informed consent to proceed. We will also provide you with a general overview of the nature and expected duration of all research activities before we confirm your appointment to come in.

We can be reached by calling our telephone number for this project at (844) 228-2344.
